Lisa CYT, RYT 200! Certified Yoga Therapist, Yoga Instructor! An active but serene lifestyle is what Lisa cherishes most! A wife and mother of two middle school children, Lisa has recently moved back to Michigan from sunny California! After losing her father to cancer seven years ago, Lisa took a 180 degree turn and decided to leave the fast pace of the corporate business world to become a part of the wellness community and becoming a certified yoga teacher. Lisa received her RYT 200 certification through Barefoot Movement in Oakland, California in 2012 and received her yoga therapy training through YogaMedics, just this year.! Lisa has always enjoyed running, cycling and skiing and still does, but finds the balance of movement and breath that yoga brings to a person’s life to be irreplaceable! She enjoys teaching all ages especially concentrating on alignment in poses and breath work. Lisa also enjoys teaching prenatal and vinyasa flow yoga; especially for the balance of strength and softness that these practices can bring to anyone’s life. Feeling a connection to our peers both on the mat and outside the studio is also key to living confident, happy lives.I found my way to yoga after having my two youngest sons. At first, it was just a way to get out of the house and relieve stress, but it quickly became an integral part of my life. I knew I had to share yoga with people so I enrolled in 200 hour teacher training and began teaching right away. My background is in Baptiste Yoga methodology. The power of yoga and it’s ability to bring you back to yourself and the present moment is life changing. Stephanie began teaching yoga in 2013 after a two year personal journey through her own practice. In the first years of teaching her focus was on kids and family. She taught yoga in all of the area elementary schools as a give back. She came back to Yoga teaching in the Fall of 2018 and took over direction of the studio in April of 2019. She prefers a Slow Flow personal practice and her class style will focus on heart opening, balance and strength.
